Elevator floor number signs are meant to indicate the current floor level within your facility. A total of two floor number signs are required for each level, with one installed on each side of the elevator door jamb or hoistway. There are multiple colors to choose from, allowing you to match your elevator floor number signs with your building’s interior decor.
For facilities within the state of California, there are specific code-compliant elevator floor number signs required for your building to be in accordance with California Code 116B.1.14. All elevator floor signs must have white raised text against a black background, and a star symbol must mark any elevator floor number signs on the ground floor. |
